2012 Seminar Series – Call for Presentations
Dear list members,
The executive would like to issue a call for presentations for AABS seminar series for 2012.
Seminars are usually held at 5.30pm on the second and last Wednesdays of each month at the University of Sydney with discussion continuing after 7.00pm over dinner at a local restaurant. Simply email us with your proposed title and preferred date.
Seminars are an opportunity for the presentation of papers on all aspects of Buddhist studies. In addition to our more recent focus on early Buddhism, textual studies and Buddhist philosophy, we encourage papers that focus on Buddhism and:
· art
· archaeology
· culture
· film
· modernity
· practice
Seminars are structured to allow for a 1 hour presentation (or two half hour presentations) and half an hour discussion. Post graduate 'works in progress' are particularly encouraged.
