Summer Opportunity for UCLA Students

UCLA undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend the Jefferson Global Seminars in 2015 as part of the UCLA-HKUST Student Exchange Program. UCLA students will receive free enrollment. Students are responsible for travel expenses, books, and some personal expenditures.

This year, there will be five courses on an array of topics of global interest. Courses are 4 credits each and are taught by UVa and HKUST faculty:
·         China in Western Eyes
·         City and Modernity
·         A New History for a New China 1700–2000, Comparative Perspectives on Inequality
·         The Nexus of Power: Warfare, Trade, and the State in Chinese History
·         Environmental Economics and Environmental Problems in China
