May 10, 2016 Celebrating Pakistan's Arts and Culture Since 2012, the Lahore Literary Festival has sought to counter Pakistan's reputation for political instability, poverty, and violent extremism ... and now the country's "soft power" abroad is spreading through the event. "In New York and other Western cities, Pakistan's cultural mosaic is collateral damage through viewing the country through a security lens," said Razi Ahmed, who started the festival.
